Amanda Cordsen, lead sparrow and problem solver
Amanda has a background in fine art and over a decade and a half of design and marketing experience. She has worked on the agency side and has directed in-house marketing and design departments, so she knows the ins and outs of each. Her specialties are logo and brand development, print and collateral design, front-end digital design, and illustration.
Prior to starting Four Sparrow, Amanda was head art director in University of Colorado Hospital’s marketing department, where she helped to lead the initial brand development effort for their transformation from a loosely associated group of individual hospitals to the centralized University of Colorado Health System. In addition, she retooled and modernized the brand assets and visual libraries to create consistency and usability across the new health system. Amanda also concepted and executed print, web, and décor themes for fundraising galas that featured such world-renowned performers as Bon Jovi and Dionne Warwick.
Amanda’s creative work garners plenty of attention from the design community and has earned her a Gold Leaf Judge’s Choice award, an Art Director’s Club of Denver Best in Category award, individual Gold, Silver, and Bronze Leaf awards, a Gold Create award, Gold and Silver Addy awards, and Logo Lounge Showcase selection.
Amanda gains inspiration by being active in the local creative world and feeding her other passions. She’s served as a Programming Chair for AIGA Colorado, focusing on the Women Lead Initiative. Her volunteer work includes the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, Cherry Creek Arts Festival, Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue, and Safe Harbor Lab Rescue.
